It’s no secret that most educators use YouTube videos in the classroom. But as many educators know, YouTube is sometimes blocked, and videos contain ads and other distractions. At best, this is a minor inconvenience, and at worst, students are exposed to inappropriate content. Many of the videos hosted on ClassHook are streamed from YouTube.
Today, we’re excited to announce a partnership with YouTube for Education! Effective immediately, all ClassHook Premium users will have access to the new YouTube Player for Education, which is free from distractions, ads, and tracking. Educators and administrators alike can now express a sigh of relief: finally, watching educational videos in the classroom will be safer, more accessible, and less distracting.
No Action Needed
The Player for Education has been automatically enabled for all educators on a Premium, School, or District plan, so there’s no need to take any action. You can seamlessly enjoy an ad-free experience with your students. Learn about ClassHook’s plans here.
Works With Your Videos
The Player for Education will also apply to videos in your own personal library, so you’ll still experience the same safe, ad-free experience even if you aren’t using videos from ClassHook’s library.
Works with Student Experiences
As long as you’re a Premium user, the ad-free Player will also be used in all experiences with students, whether you’re sharing a clip with them, embedding a clip in your LMS or Slides presentation, facilitating a live discussion, or creating assignments on ClassHook. It’s stress-free, just as it should be.
We’re excited for how the Player for Education will transform your instruction. Let us know in the comments below, or get in touch with us if you have any questions!
