As these clips are all educational, they’re a great way to fit in more learning in a fun way.

1. Ed, Edd n Eddy: Taking The Presents

This clip from Ed, Edd n Eddy shows an example of selflessness and its effect on the overall community. In this clip, Edd explains that a selfless deed is one done without the thought of personal gain. Eddy has committed a selfless deed by replacing a dead bulb on a Christmas tree, prompting Santa to deliver presents to all of the kids in the cul-de-sac. This implies that one’s selflessness leads to everyone’s happiness.

2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Maybe Christmas Is More

How the Grinch Stole Christmas is a perfect choice for a relaxing time after midterms. The movie setting is fascinating, and Jim Carrey’s performance is absolutely hysterical. More than that, the movie conveys a very warm hearted message of kindness. In this particular scene, Grinch is puzzled that Christmas joy and spirit came to Whoville even though the citizens didn’t receive any presents. He then realizes that Christmas is about more than just gifts. This realization makes not only Grinch’s heart but also the audience’s heart grow a little.

3. A Christmas Carol: Scrooge Goes to Fred’s House

A Christmas Carol is one of Charles Dickens’ powerful literary works with the themes of death and redemption. The novel itself is already incredible. The animated version is even more breathtaking. This scene presents one of Scrooge redeeming moments when he decides to join his family and be part of a more joyous existence. After all, family is where the heart is.

4. Arthur Christmas: Nice Kitties

This clip from Arthur Christmas is suitable for fans of adventure fiction and is also a solid introduction to biomes. In this scene, students get to see the African ecology as Arthur, Grandsanta, and an elf named Bryony escape from man-eating lions and rescue two of their reindeer. Students can also take away the importance of teamwork in overcoming hardships.

5. Mad Men: Prepare to Take a Great Leap Forward

This clip demonstrates a critical leadership strategy: employee incentive. Even though the company is going through some tough times, the partners reward their employees with Christmas bonuses because they appreciate their work. The partners sacrifice their own holiday bonuses in order to make it possible to give their employees their bonuses. Sometimes, an act of gratitude is really all someone needs for Christmas.

These are some Christmas-themed clips that we believe are awesome to show to your students before the break. After all, Christmas is a time for self-reflection and giving. These clips serve as a reminder that we should all give, care, appreciate, and love a bit more.

We hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR !
