Dave Shutton, an investigative reporter, approaches Bart and Lisa as they’re fishing and talks to them. In the middle of their conversation, Bart catches a genetically-mutated fish with three eyes, earning him a spot on the front page of the newspaper.

  1. What may have caused the mutation in the fish? Why?
  2. Are genetic mutations important? Why or why not?
  3. Why is nuclear waste harmful and what problems could it bring by dumping it into a river?
